2017-2018 Season Class Schedule
Please call the us (614.326.4075) to discuss a stop by the studio during our open hours (Mon-Thurs 4-9pm, Sat 9am-12pm) to register for classes. It's always a good idea to call before you stop by because there are several weeks through the year that the studio is on vacation.
A non-refundable registration fee of $35 is due at registration along with your first
month's tuition (also non-refundable). Registration for fall classes begins in August.
You may print and fill out the following documents and bring them in to the studio
to register for classes. They are also available at the front desk:
All classes have 9 1/2 months of tuition due on the 1st of the month. (1/2 month tuition due in August and May and full month tuition due Sept-April). Annual tuition includes a total of 38 classes and is figured on an average of 4 weeks per month even though some months may contain fewer weeks. Technical and Dress Rehearsals are considered lesson 37 and 38.
What to Wear
(Hair should be up and out of the face for all technique styles. Please do not wear excessive jewelry.)
Pink ballet shoes
Skirts/shorts allowed over leotard.
Comfortable clothing (no jeans!)
Clean tennis shoes
Black tap shoes
Talk to your teacher about what kind of shoe you should wear.
SCHEDULE & CLASSROOM POLICIES
There is a $15 late fee for any payment made after the 10th of the month
There is a $30 fee for returned checks
We accept cash, check, and charge as forms of payment (we cannot accept payments over the phone)
Refunds are given at the discretion of the artistic director
Tuition is due in full every month regardless of class attendance and is not prorated for reasons such as illness, vacations, or weather.
Any class not meeting the minimum quota of five students will be cancelled, shortened, rescheduled to combine with another class, or shared an increased tuition to offset the expense of low enrollment. There will be no class changes after November 1st.
When a student will no longer be attending classes, it is the parent's responsibility to officially withdraw the child from class by filling out a withdrawal form at the studio in person. Until the dancer is officially withdrawn, we will consider the student to be active in the dance program. The parent will continue to be financially responsible for the tuition up until the exact date that Bartelt Dancers receives the withdrawal form.
Our end of the year recital is planned for Saturday, May 19th 2018.
Recital costume fees are due by November 1st and are non-refundable. Youth costumes (10 years and younger) are $72.56 ($67.50 + tax) each and adult costumes (11 years and older) are $84.39 ($78.50 + tax) each. Costumes will not be ordered unless they are paid in full. Late payment on costume fees will require additional shipping costs and will only be ordered if delivery prior to our recital is guaranteed. When your tuition is paid in full, recital costumes will be sent home.
There is a recital fee of $49 per family due March 1st which covers two tickets, rental of the theater, and production costs. Additional tickets are $10.00 each.
If Upper Arlington Schools are closed due to inclement weather, Bartelt Dancers' morning classes will be canceled. A decision regarding afternoon/evening classes will be made and posted on our Facebook and website by 1pm. In the event that we are unable to schedule a make up class, each student is responsible for scheduling a make up class with the front desk.
